Comments: This is an excellent ornamental clump grass which produces narrow leaves and soft and slightly pendulous foliage that turns gold in the fall. The blonde flower spikes are produces a few inches above the foliage and remain through the winter. A good feature of this grass is that it stays relatively dwarf when compared to many of the ornamental grasses. Makes an excellent accent growing in a container and as a single specimen in the garden. As with most of the ornamental grasses cut back the old brown foliage and flower heads in late winter just before new growth begins in the spring. Ornamental grasses are easy to grow provided there is a well drained soil and full sunlight. Most are relatively weak growing in the shade.
