Comments: This torpical tree is a good as an understory plant. It has drought tolerance and no serious insect or disease problems. White flowers have long slender prominent stamens and anthers. Produce seeds in pea pods that turn bright red when seeds are mature in fall. Birds eat the seeds when pods open in late fall. Plants cannot tolerate freezing temperatures.
