Comments: This is a popular annual for spring color. Plants tolerate light frosts. They can be used in mass plantings in large beds and as border plantings. Blooming stops when temperatures approach around 90 degrees F. but heavy growth will begin in the fall with the fall flowering often stronger than the spring bloom. Provide sunlight and a well drained bed, preferably a raised bed. Over watering will cause root rot. Makes a good container plant because foliage growth and flowering cascade over the edges of the container.
