This is an excellent late blooming hot-pink flowering azalea that produces rather open, flat flowers with a double row of petals. Plants tend to stay compact with relatively small leaves that turn reddish in cold winters. Growth is slow compared to the Indian azaleas. Old flowers persist in a dry state for some time after blooming.
