Comments: This large shade tree is over used, particlarly on small residental properties. It is a messy tree when it drops nuts. Best adapted for parts of the country with moderate temperatures. Not well adapted for the lower coastal south. Very popular tree in European landscapes especially in large parks and other public green spaces.
