Comments:
This tree from Madagascar is flamboyant in red flowers in spring and summer. As a flowering tree, it has few peers. It is considered one of the five most beautiful trees in the world. Being a tropical one would assume that it is evergreen, but it is without leaves for about two months in winter. There is also a yellow flowered selection. It grow best in moist soils, but will tolerate droughty ones.
