Comments: Resembles parsley hawthorn, but its leaves and fruit are smaller. Songbirds nest in the trees and eat the fruit. Thin, gray, exfoliating bark which, as it peels in patches, exposes brown underneath. A very nice relatively small tree that makes an excellent patio tree. Some thorns are present. This one is sometime used for making dense hedges when planted close together.
