Comments: Ripen, open fruit is as attractive as flowers and is easten by birds, squirrels and other animals. This plant has high drought resistance and is tolerant to salts in the soil. Scale insects can be a problem. This is the same plant as Clusia rosea. Also called the "autograph tree" because the stiff leaves live for several years and people often carve letters or symbols in the leaves. Can be somewhat invasive in tropical landscapes.
