Comments: The Mountain Camellia is a small tree to large shrub native to the Appalachian region at the low to medium elevations of the Great Smoky Mountains. White flowers with yellow centers are produced in early summer. Autumn color can be quite good. Woody capsules one inch long hang on the tree into winter.
