Comments: This is a medium=sized tropical tree which produces very large, oblong leaves which emerge purple and turn green. Fragrant, heavy, waxy flowers dangle on long stems and thicken and become the fruit if fertilized. Large seeds are embedded within aromatic pulp. These seeds are used like nutmeg to flavor food.
