Comments: This is a wonderful perennial for the shade garden in the cooler areas of the country. Cannot tolerate the hot summers of the Coastal South. Blooming is late winter through early spring. Provide a humus-rich, well-drained soil. Open flowers can be seen easier that many of the Helleborus selections, and blooms last a long time and change colors. The blue-green foliage is particularly attractive. Reported to be deer and rabbit resistant plants. All parts of plant are poisonous if ingested.
