Comments: This is a low growing evergreen shrub that makes a good ground cover in areas where it will perform well. Reported to be quite common in the British Isles and especially in Scotland on heaths and barren places in hilly districts. It produces a leathery leaves that are in the shape of a spatula. The urn-shaped flowers are waxy-like and are produced in drooping clusters very much like Arbutus.
