This is just one of many cultivars which are grown for its rosette of waxy foliage. Cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. Ideal for growing in planters and large containers where the off-shoots can cascade over the edges of the containers. Grown primarily for its foliage, but flowering does occur on mature, well established plants. Off-shoots are produced around a large, mature specimen. 'Schwarzkopf', or Black Tree is a highly promoted selection that produces very dark foliage.
