Comments:
The name for this perennial is derived from the fact that the bottom sides of the foliage are silvery-white due to the tiny white, downy hairs on the surface. It has a long history of being used for its healing effects attributed to the herbal medicines taken from it. The coarse-textured foliage and bright yellow flowers are special features as a garden ornamental.
