This is a low spreading evergreen shrub which produces very short leaves. It is native to Australia and can tolerate rather dry conditions and in time will form a carpet like growth over rocks in its native land. Reported to be a good container plant. Slow growing. Excellent for bonsai work. 'Blue Gem' is a recommended cultivar.
