Comments: This is an excellent perennial for the water garden. Naturally it is associated with stream banks, shallow standing water and mud flats. Bright green foliage closely arranged in whorls up a stem of approximately one foot tall. Stems can be erect or slightly curved if plants are in running water. Small inconspicious flowers and small nut-like fruit are produced at leaf bases.
