This Chinese native strongly resembles the true larch. Folige is soft, green on upper surface and bluish on the lower one. Needles turn a golden yellow in autumn before dropping. A tall growing and broad spreading tree than can reach a height of over 100', although a height of 30'-60' is more common. Avoid planting in alkaline soils, in shade and where temperature and humidity are high.
