Comments: This cycad is likely the hardiest, most drought resistant of the South African species. A low-growing, small to medium cycad with an erect trunk up to 6 feet tall and somewhat wider. It grows in neutral to alkaline soil and must have good drainage. Forms clumps suckers are produced from the base. Male and female flowers on separate plants.
