Chocolate is made from the seed of cacao. The plant is cauliflorous with flowers and fruits both protruding directly from the woody branches and trunk. The fruit reaches to one foot long and 2-4 inches in diameter. Cacao is grown in Hawaii, Puerto Rica and in conservatories elsewhere in the USA.
