Comments: Grown as an annual in zones 8 and less. Flowers year round where hardy. Gets quite large in zones 10 and 11, but may get to 4 feet where grown as an annual. Deadhead to prevent seed set and maturation, if you do not want volunteer, nuisance plants of this species coming up in the landscape. While it has some drought tolerance, it performs best in well drained moist soils. Attracts butterflies.
