Comments: This fern is grown for its attractive glossy green fronds and creeping, hairy-scaled rhizomes that in time grow over and down the sides of the container. Keep potting media moderately moist and a bit on the dry side during the winter months. Cannot tolerate locations with low humidity Cannot tolerate freezing temperatures nor direct sunlight for prolonged periods. It is native to Fiji. 'Plumosa' is a popular cultivar which produces narrow, feather-like foliage segments. Grows well in hanging baskets and other containers. Scale insects can sometime be a problem.
