Comments:
Well adapted to areas that are dry for long periods of time. The candelabra plant is pretty by poisonous. It has a white sap and a single drop on the skin can cause a blister. The latex like sap may cause blindness when it gets into an eye. They are used as living fences, as their sharp spines deter penetration. Must have a well drained soil for growth.
