Comments: Found growing in the wild in rocky places, mostly in the western part of the United States and in Hawaii. I will grow in the central and eastern part of the country, but is not a recommended garden plant, it is considered a weed by some who say that it is an invasive plant. Leaves have been reported to be used in salads and the boiled roots in soups. This species produces flowers that are either red, pink or white.
