Comments:
This is a tender perennial that blooms during the summer months. It cannot tolerate freezing temperatures so is often used as an annual in many parts of the country. The two-lipped, lobelia-like flowers with a touch of yellow in the throats are quite striking on a healthy plant. Makes a good container plant for the patio, terrace and deck where the blooms can be enjoyed up close. In warm climates, cut back plants after the first flowering to encourage a second crop of flowers.
