Comments: This early spring flowering bulb that produces bright yellow, cup-shaped flowers belongs to the buttercup family. It is ideal for small detail design where the flowers can be viewed up close. It can also be enjoyed along paths in the woodland garden. All parts of the plant are poisonous if eaten. It grows well in moist, fertile soil that contain a generous amount of humus. The buttercup-like flowers appear very early in the spring and tubers go dormant in summer before reappearing the following late winter or early spring.
