Comments: This shrub produces narrow dark green leaves with wide white margins. It should not be confused with other plants called cleyera like the more common Ternstroemia gymananthera. Provide a moist, fertile, well drained soil and sun to partial shade. Because of its variegation it makes a strong presence in the garden. Reported that foliage turns red in the late fall.
