Comments:
The ponderosa lemon has to be treated as a tropical because it cannot tolerate hard freezes. Consequently, plant trees in large containers so that they can be given some protection during freezing temperatures. They make a delightful container specimen and produce nice fruit provided trees receive adequate sunlight. The quality of the lemon fruit is quite good. The fruit can be about six inches in diameter. Fertilize trees every spring.
