The aloe vera plant juice squeezed from the short, stocky, fleshy leaves has been used to treat minor skin disorders for thousands of years. It is still grown by some people today to treat minor skin irritations. This succulent makes an attractive container plant that is very easy to grow provided plants receive full sunlight and are planted in a well drained soil. Over watering will cause root rot. Keep the soil on the dry side for best results.
