Comments:
This is a native deciduous shrub to small tree that produces spring white bell-shaped flowers and attractive dark purple fruit in late summer and autumn. Birds are attracted to the fruit. This is an excellent shrub for woodland edges and other places in naturalistic settings where native plants are featured. Autumn foliage color can be quite attractive.
