Comments: This shrub-like perennial produces royal blue trumpet shaped flowers during the warm months of the year. Flowers can appear to be somewhat fluorescent. Plants are killed back to the ground in mild winters but return the following spring. In warm climates plants are nearly evergreen. By the end of the season plants have a sprawling habit of growth. Another noteworthy feature is the velvety green foliage. Plants grow best in a fertile, well drained soil in sun for much of the day.
