Comments:
This is a popular shade and street tree in tropical South Florida. It is semi-deciduous and loses its leaves in late winter for only about two weeks. It cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. Flowers are mostly inconspicuous but the fruit or nut is quite large and releases an abundance of winged seeds in spring when it splits open.
