Comments:
This is a low growing mounding shrub that produces tightly clustered leathery leaves at the ends of the shoots. Creamy-white flowers are in round clusters on short stems, and these are followed by clusters of bright red fruit. It cannot tolerate direct sunlight for long periods. Consequently provide filtered sunlight to moderate shade. Plants become leggy in heavy shade and do not bloom well.
