Comments: This is a carnivorous pitcher plant that is somewhat prevalent across the Gulf South where favorable acid bog habitats exist. Insect are trapped in the long tubular foliage and the juices digest the insects that provide nurishment for the plants. This is a popular plant in southern savannahs.
