Comments: Does not like hot humid weather and will not grow in much shade. It does not have the expected shape of narrow leaved plants and unlike them, its seed bearing cones fall to the ground as soon as seeds are mature and it is deciduous. It has longer needles than the true larch, and they turn a golden brown in autumn.
