Comments: Called the moss rose, portulaca can grow in all sections of the country and should be planted or set out after the danger of frost has passed. The reddish stems and green leaves are thick, soft and juicy. The flowers are rose like and come in many colors. Do not irrigate portulaca overhead when it is in flower, as this damages the blossoms.
