Comments: A moderately fast growing, upright shade tree that can get quite large. Its large leaves are a drawback in that they are distracting in the lawn and blow about easily. The rather large fruit is on long stalks, is round and bristly. This is another minus for this species. It will grow satisfactorily in alkaline and dry soils.
