Comments:
Grown for the huge leaves that can grow over a foot long and are used for their spicy aromatic scent and flavor. Some liken this aroma to root beer while others to anise-clove. Foliage is knocked back to the ground with hard freezes, but will come back from the roots. It does not generally produce fruit out side of its native area.
