Comments: It is very useful in adverse situations, including seashore plantings, wet or dry soils and hot windy situations. Has tubular flowers which come in large panicles on scapes that can measure up to 15 feet tall. Flowering is not common and only occurs in Florida and Texas. Is tolerant of little to moderate amounts of water once well established. There are a number of cultivars available.
