Comments: Probably the most widely grown and easiest to grow of the oriental magnolias. The pink to purplish flowers are sometimes damaged by late freezes, so plant cultivars that flower later. Can be used as a specimen, accent, in group or mass plantings. It is supposedly deer resistant.
