Comments:	Called sunflower because the flower's head follows the sun from east, in the morning, to west in the afternoon. Could be because the large flower with its yellow petals resembles the sun. It produces one of the largest flowers of any annual. The seeds are eaten by many bird species as well as other wildlife and humans.
